“We are only human” also means “we are meant to live and learn”. Using the word “mistake” just leaves no room for learning. If you are always confronted with “correct”/“incorrect”, “right”/“wrong”, “good”/“bad”, how can you possibly find the passion to live life and be human ? Let’s just call it a day and turn to stardust already… Life is meant to be loved, lived and enjoyed. Your weaknesses are only there for you to focus on your strengths, not to shame you on the fact that you have weaknesses. The goal is to move forward successfully after a hardship, thinking “I AM strong”, not “I was so weak that I had to go through this”. Always think of life using lights and nuances, perspective and focus. Awaken the artist within, look at things in ways that leave room for a positive outcome, let them call you the crazy idealist already ! You have no idea how much of a power it is to always try and see how you can still feel good about yourself when enduring difficulties. You might want to get better at it because you are always learning how to be human. It’s that feeling of being so small (human) yet so ambitious and limitless (spirit) that makes living the human experience so enjoyable !!! I have never found joy in knowing all the answers, having everything figured out or knowing how things are going to turn out. I love having a messy life, day and week. I love having to help someone without knowing what I’m talking about, I love “trying my best”, “not being 100% perfect yet posting that article” etc. I love having room to not be perfect because it makes me human. Look at yourself in the most objective way possible, would you tell someone that they are not perfect enough for you ? Would you tell them that they should be ashamed of themselves because they don’t believe in God ? Would you put somebody down and feel like it’s justified ? If your answers were “No”, see how human you choose to be with others yet struggle to be when dealing with yourself… My love for others helped me love myself better, now I look at myself with kind eyes and think things such as “You love to make other people feel wonderful, well you deserve it too.”
The day I started giving me what I gave to others, I found humanity. I found that the word weakness did not mean anything but to be a human being.
